Focus & Impact
Advancing Clinical Research Through Comparator Drug Access
Much of my work focuses on comparator drug sourcing for clinical trials — a critical but often overlooked component of pharmaceutical research. Reliable access to reference medications enables competition, supports biosimilar and generic development, and helps reduce long-term drug costs across the U.S. healthcare system.
Through Investigational Drug Delivery and VRC Medical Services, I’ve worked with research organizations, CROs, and healthcare partners to navigate shortages, diversify sourcing strategies, and maintain regulatory compliance. These efforts support clinical trial continuity and align with national priorities aimed at lowering prescription drug costs. Industry data shows that expanded comparator access and biosimilar adoption have contributed to more than $38 billion in U.S. healthcare savings over recent years — impact made possible by functional supply chain infrastructure behind the scenes.
